Emily Berman is a radio producer based in Washington, D.C.
She is a reporter for WAMU 88.5’s Metro Connection, a weekly news magazine show. Her reports have aired nationally on NPR’s Weekend Edition, Weekend All Things Considered, Latino USA, The Animal House, Deutsche Welle, and Making Contact. In June 2011, Emily’s documentary on the Mount Pleasant Riots was exhibited at the Smithsonian Latino Center. From 2007 to 2009 she worked at Bloomberg News, as an Associate Producer of live financial news programing. Emily is a graduate of the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies and the University of Michigan.
